2025 Easter Monday EI payment delay
Due to 2025Â Easter long weekend, the Service Canada Employment Insurance office will be closed on Friday, April 18th, and Monday, April 21st, 2025.
All EI claimants (regular or special) may experience a delay of one or two business days in receiving their Employment Insurance cheques or direct deposit.
The direct deposit payments will be issued on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025. You will expect your EI benefits direct deposit payment on Wednesday or Thursday.
Please ensure to plan yourself accordingly.
