Employment Insurance office has temporarily waive earning allocation received between September 26th, 2021 to September 24th, 2022 on the following income received upon separation:

Accumulated sick leave credits
Bonus
Damages for wrongful dismissal
Retirement payments
Severance pay
Statutory holiday pay
Vacation pay
Wages in lieu of notice

Prior to this temporary measure, any income received upon separation will need to be allocated and credit out against your EI weekly benefits before you can received your EI payments. With this temporary measure in place, you will automatically receive your EI benefits payment without any delay, you only have to serve 1 week waiting period.
