Thanksgiving holiday EI office closure and payment delay
Due to the national Canadian Thanksgiving holiday on Monday, October 13th, 2025, all EI claimants (regular or special benefits) may experience a delay of one or two business days in receiving their Employment Insurance cheques or direct deposit.
If you have completed your report over the weekend, you may receive your direct deposit payment on Tuesday, October 14th, or Wednesday, October 15th.
