Victoria Day holiday EI payment delay

* * * IMPORTANT NOTICE * * *

Due to the Victoria Day holiday on Monday May 19th, 2025, all EI claimants (regular or special benefits) will experience a direct deposit payment delay of one or two business days. Therefore, you will only receive your EI direct deposit payment on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Additionally, the Service Canada office (in-person and call centre) will be closed for the holiday. Normal business hour will resume on Tuesday. It is suggested to visit the Service Canada centre later in the week to avoid Tuesday’s high-volume client traffic.

Please ensure to plan yourself accordingly.
